I guess since it's been 20 days I have much to update, so here goes....
We went to Saint Louis, Missouri March 13, 14, and 15 for Spring Break and had a wonderful time! It's more like spring there than it is here and we actually got to see spring like things like green growing in the ground and flowers starting to bloom! It was so needed!
On the Saturday the,13th we got an early start on the road, 6 am and drove to the Anheuser-Busch Brewery where we did a 10 am tour.
First, we got to see the Clydesdale Stable, they are such amazing animals and the Dalmation that was running around was priceless.
After that we saw a little bit about how the beer was made and manufactured.
I thought this chandelier was really neat, and it was 3 stories tall!
The tour was about an hour and after it was over we got complimentary beverages and pretzels.
After the tour we had to have some world famous St. Louis style bbq (it was good but, AZ's is still WAY better) and a trip to Krispy Kreme's. Once we were done gorging ourselves we went to the St. Louis Mills mall, Cabela's sporting goods, then checked into our hotel and did some swimming.
Sunday morning we woke up nice and early and headed to the St. Louis Zoo. We were there for 5 1/2 hours, it was drizzling on and off but, we made the best of it and had a great time.
After the zoo we went back to the St. Louis Mills mall, Mike took Michael to play and I tried to do some shopping but, had no luck. After the mall we went to Pei Wei's Chinese (YUMMY, it was so good,) Trader Joe's for some delicious spinach fettucini noodles, back to the hotel and swimming! Grace was in heaven because she is going through a swimming phase.
Monday morning we got packed up and moseyed back home. We stopped and walked around at the Saint Louis temple.
My sweet husband even stopped at Babies R' Us so I could register and as a reward to him we went to Hooter's when we were done ;)
It was great to get away and have Mike all to ourselves!
