July 15th, 2010 the day of Madison Jane Hadenfeldt's birth

We could barely sleep the night before and didn't even try until a little after midnight.  We had to be up by 5:15 a.m to get showered and to the hospital for our 6:00  a.m arrival time.

Got there right at 6:00 a.m, they took us to our room, had me get in my lovely hospital gown, monitored the baby, and tried to find a good vein for my i.v, (I had to have a bag and a half of fluids pumped into me before our 7:00 am operating room check in time.)  The first nurse tried 3 times and then finally admitted defeat and called in another nurse who, got it the first time.  They rushed the fluids in me as fast as they could and we walked back to the recovery room about 15 minutes after 7:00 a.m.  Once they were able to warm me up a bit (I was cold from the fluids) they walked me to the operating room.I got my epidural and then they began the operation.

This was my 3rd c-section and it seemed to take forever and I threw up (that was weird.) I guess I had quite a bit of scar tissue that needed to be cleaned up.

At 7:51, Madison Jane Hadenfeldt was introduced to this world.

Daddy went over to take pictures and meet our newest family member.  It seemed to take a while to close me up but, before I knew it they were wheeling me into recovery.
I was itchy from the spinal and cold from the fluids but, I had the perfect, sweetest, little baby girl, so it was just fine.

Congrats! That is too funny that we both had babies around the same day and named them Madison. If she would have came a few hours earlier...they would have shared the same bday...but instead she shares a bday with her Grandma (my Mom).

Gosh you looked so cute pregnant its a shame this is the last baby. She is so tiny and sweet. So fun that your mom could come out to help. Enjoy her and get some good rest!
